Receiver/Forklift Brine Assistant

Shift: 5:00 AM-3:15 PM

Hourly Rate: $20.60 an hour

DUTIES:

In the role of Brine Helper, you will work onsite at Conagra's Imlay City, Michigan, facility. You will support production demand receiving ingredients. You will be responsible to maintain inventory records utilizing internal inventory tracking software. You will participate in monthly inventory validation. The Brine Helper is responsible for the preparation of ingredients necessary for Brine Manufacturers; receive liquid ingredients, inventory of ingredients, and general cleaning of the brine area. You will work with the Process Lead and Business Unit Lead to ensure production needs are met. You will have job responsibilities that require you to work for periods outdoors. You will move bags of ingredients weighing up to 50#, clean barrels/drums and you will utilize forklift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lift, push, or pull loads up to 40 pounds frequently throughout each work shift.
• Lift, push, or pull loads exceeding 50 pounds occasionally throughout the work shift.
• Prepare ingredients; set up, prepare, and make emulsions for product runs.
• Learn piping of the brine system.
• Hi-Lo license through the company training program.
• Work accurately and safely with all ingredients both liquid and dry.
• Unload sugar and vinegar tanks.
• Accurately complete batch sheets and ending inventories.
• Work closely with QA Lab, Process Lead, Supervision and Business Unit Lead.
• Perform all jobs in assigned work area, including brine tanks and general labor.
• Work accurately and safely with equipment. 
• Ensure machines and surrounding areas are kept neat and sanitary.
• Accurate completion of paperwork in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Follow pant clean-up procedures and remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.  
• Other duties may be assigned.
