The Customer Reference Team engages SAP customers to share their experiences and inspire others. As SAP shifts to the cloud, the team adapts its approach to scale customer references across the entire lifecycle.

As Regional Reference Lead, you own stakeholder alignment and steer reference recruitment and customer storytelling across EMEA, including speaker activation for high-profile moments.
- Primary point of contact for EMEA/MEE stakeholders – alignment on needs, gaps, priorities, and planned reference activities.
- Reference recruitment steering with internal teams (sales, marketing, customer success) based on regional priorities and requirements.
- Development of customer stories and content aligned with growth priorities.
- Amplification and activation across global and regional channels – incl. IDPs, SAP.com, social media, events, executive communications, and PR.
- Recruitment of customer speakers for high-profile events, analyst engagements, interactive webinars, and media opportunities.
- Regional reference plan ownership – coverage visibility by segment, industry, and solution area; tracking and sharing of metrics and activities for transparency.
- Proven experience in B2B communications, customer marketing, or storytelling – ideally within the tech or SaaS industry.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shape clear, compelling narratives tailored to business audiences.
- Experience working with customers and stakeholders to uncover insights and create impactful reference content or speaker moments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills – comfortable navigating across marketing, sales, communications, and executive teams.
- Experience supporting analyst and/or media engagements and recruiting customer speakers for high-visibility opportunities is a strong plus.
- Ability to analyze gaps and align reference strategies to business needs.
- Proven success operating in a global, virtual, cross-functional environment.
- Experience in the use of AI tools to help build, accelerate or innovate content.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C1)
