Ready to make a real difference across multiple services?

At Northern Healthcare, we're passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred support that empowers people living with mental health needs to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Regional Service Manager to join our Operations Team. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll work across our supported living services throughout Greater Manchester and Preston, providing leadership, driving service improvements and supporting teams to deliver exceptional care.

Whether you're leading a service through change, supporting a manager, preparing for a CQC inspection or helping launch a new service, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our services continue to thrive.

What you'll be doing

As Regional Service Manager, you'll provide hands-on operational support wherever it's needed most. You'll work closely with Service Managers, Team Leaders and the Regional Operations Manager to maintain high standards, improve performance and create positive outcomes for the people we support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing interim leadership to services requiring additional operational support.

  • Supporting services through improvement plans, change programmes and periods of transition.

  • Driving quality and ensuring compliance with CQC standards and contractual requirements.

  • Coaching, mentoring and developing Service Managers and Team Leaders.

  • Leading quality audits and supporting services during inspections.

  • Building strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities, NHS professionals and other key stakeholders.

  • Supporting recruitment, retention and workforce development.

  • Monitoring budgets, staffing and agency usage to ensure services remain sustainable.

  • Promoting recovery-focused, person-centred support across all services.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving services and developing people.

You'll be an experienced operational leader with a proven track record of managing CQC-regulated services and supporting teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

You'll also have:

  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or be willing to work towards it).

  • Significant management experience within mental health, supported living or adult social care.

  • Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding legislation.

  • Experience leading service improvement and managing operational challenges.

  • Strong leadership, coaching and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Greater Manchester and Preston.

Why join Northern Healthcare?

At Northern Healthcare, we recognise that our people are our greatest asset. We invest in our colleagues and provide opportunities to grow, develop and make a meaningful impact.

We offer:

  • Salary of up to £42,000 plus car allowance.

  • The opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of mental health services.

  • A supportive and collaborative leadership team.

  • Ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.

  • The chance to influence service quality and shape positive outcomes for the people we support.

  • A rewarding career with a growing and ambitious organisation.
