Job Title: Relationship Manager(Credit Lead) – Multilaterals and HNIs (Financial Services/Fintech) Location: Ikoyi, Lagos Job Grade: Deputy Manager- Manager Cadre Reporting Line: Reports directly to the General Manager / Head of Credit and Marketing Role Overview The Credit Team Lead(Relationship Manager) – Multilaterals and HNIs will drive the company's business generation and relationship management within the multilateral, donor- funded, and high-net-worth individual (HNI) segments. The role combines strategic business origination, credit structuring, and client relationship management, focusing on building sustainable income and enhancing the company’s institutional presence. The ideal candidate — preferably a female professional — should possess strong financial acumen, emotional intelligence, and relationship management skills, capable of engaging multilaterals, development finance institutions, and private clients with professionalism and poise. The successful candidate will also serve as the interphase between Credit Officers and the Head of Department, ensuring team efficiency, quality output, and strategic alignment with the company's Finance’s growth objectives. Key Responsibilities A. Business Development and Client Relationship Management Develop and execute strategic plans to attract and retain clients within the multilateral, donor, and HNI ecosystems. Originate structured credit and investment transactions tailored to institutional and high-net-worth client profiles. Build enduring relationships with development finance agencies, private investors, and donor-backed project sponsors. Strengthening the company's Finance’s presence through business forums, partnership engagements, and brand-building initiatives. B. Credit Structuring and Risk Management Supervise credit origination and appraisal processes, ensuring all memos and submissions meet internal and regulatory standards. Evaluate credit proposals from team members, ensuring proper risk assessment, collateral validation, and compliance with policy. Act as the key liaison between the Credit Officers and the Head of Department, ensuring effective communication and accountability. Ensure adherence to CBN regulations and the Finance’s internal risk and credit management framework. C. Investment and Treasury Collaboration Identify and refer high-value clients and institutional partners to the Treasury and Financial Services Department for potential investment placements. Support Treasury in developing client-driven borrowing and placement structures. Facilitate hybrid financing and investment solutions linking donor-backed initiatives and HNI liquidity to structured credit opportunities. D. Strategic and Product Development Initiatives Develop innovative financial products targeting multilaterals and HNIs, including co-financing and sustainability-linked instruments. Lead strategic initiatives for brand visibility and market penetration in the development finance and private wealth segments. Contribute to policy standardization through enhanced credit templates, process documentation, and reporting tools. Professional Expectations Uphold integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all engagements. Exhibit leadership and a results-oriented mindset in managing both client relationships and team performance. Ensure all credit submissions, product designs, and correspondence meet the company’s quality standards. Mentor and supervise Credit Officers to maintain discipline, efficiency, and alignment with company goals. Promote the company’s values through ethical conduct, collaborative teamwork, and innovative business thinking. Key Performance Indicators (Qualitative) Performance Area and Qualitative Expectations Business Origination and Relationship Management: Consistent sourcing and conversion of business opportunities from multilaterals and HNIs. Portfolio Growth: Portfolio Quality and Growth Maintenance of healthy, risk-mitigated assets and sustainable revenue pipelines. Credit Structuring and Appraisal: Timely and well-structured credit memos achieving high approval and conversion rates. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Active support to Treasury and Risk in executing joint mandates and investment mobilization. Leadership and Team Oversight: Demonstrated mentorship and performance coordination among Credit Officers. Strategic and Product Development: Contribution to development of specialized lending and investment solutions. Professional Integrity and Compliance: Full compliance with credit policies and demonstration of ethical conduct and discipline.
