TauRx is a global leader in Alzheimer’s research, dedicated to discovering, developing, and commercialising innovative solutions for neurodegenerative disorders. We are seeking a creative and skilled UX/UI Designer to join our mission-driven team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your design expertise to meaningful projects that support ground-breaking scientific research. In this role, you will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging digital experiences for a variety of platforms, ensuring that our tools and communications are both user-friendly and effective. This position is fully remote, and we are pleased to offer both full-time and part-time opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate complex requirements and concepts into intuitive user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
- Design and deliver elegant and user-centred interfaces for our web platforms, internal applications, and other digital products.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, product managers, and developers to ensure a seamless and consistent user experience.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system, including style guides, patterns, and component libraries.
- Advocate for user-centred design principles and best practices throughout the organisation.
- Analyse user feedback and activity to iterate and improve upon the user experience.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven professional experience as a UX/UI Designer or in a similar role.
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates your design process, problem-solving skills, and visual design talent.
- Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- A deep understanding of user-centred design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders.
- A meticulous eye for detail and a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
- Experience working within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or scientific research sectors is highly desirable but not essential.
