We're looking for a Research Associate to join our growing team in Cape Town. In this role, you'll partner with experienced Client Managers to identify, engage, and assess highly specialised talent across the global life sciences market. Your work will play a critical role in helping innovative organisations find the people they need to advance healthcare and improve lives.

What you'll be doing

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Map European and global candidate markets to identify specialist talent

  • Conduct detailed online and offline research to source prospective candidates

  • Utilise platforms such as LinkedIn, Xing, internal databases, and industry resources to identify talent

  • Develop and recommend innovative sourcing and attraction strategies

  • Engage with prospective candidates and conduct initial screening interviews

  • Support executive search and specialist recruitment projects

  • Participate in client briefing meetings and talent strategy discussions

  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future opportunities

  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive candidate information is maintained

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed

  • Be fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Have strong research and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Be comfortable working with online research tools and databases

  • Be highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills

  • Demonstrate a customer-focused approach and professional mindset

  • Be proactive, resilient, and motivated to achieve results

  • Additional European language skills would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of or interest in the life sciences sector would be beneficial

  • A degree in science, languages, or a related field is preferred but not essential
