Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated Ph.D. Scholar in Chemical Engineering to conduct advanced research and development in the field of solar cell and module manufacturing. The role involves contributing to process innovation, materials development, and scalable manufacturing techniques for next-generation photovoltaic (PV) technologies. The scholar will work closely with cross-functional teams in R&D, process engineering, and product development to support the organization’s renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on chemical and materials engineering aspects of solar cell and module manufacturing, including thin-film, crystalline silicon, perovskite, and other advanced photovoltaic materials.
  • Develop and optimize chemical processes for high-efficiency, cost-effective, and sustainable solar cell production.
  • Investigate surface treatments, coatings, adhesives, and encapsulation materials to improve module durability, performance, and reliability.
  • Perform characterization and analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished solar cells/modules using advanced analytical techniques.
  • Collaborate with process engineering teams to translate lab-scale innovations into pilot-scale and industrial-scale manufacturing processes.
  • Research novel chemical approaches for waste reduction, recycling, and energy-efficient manufacturing in solar module production.
  • Prepare technical reports, research publications, and patent applications based on innovative findings.
  • Engage in academic-industry collaborations and support technology transfer initiatives.

Skills & Qualification:
  • Ph.D. Scholar (Chemical Engineering) [from IIT Mumbai/ Delhi] or Graduate in any stream.
  • Work on cutting-edge renewable energy research with direct industrial application.
