We are seeking an experienced Residential Interior Designer with advanced Chief Architect software skills to join a growing residential remodeling company in Barberton, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented designer who enjoys transforming kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovation projects into functional, beautiful living spaces.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential remodeling, excels at space planning and client collaboration, and can develop construction-ready designs that bring homeowners' visions to life. You'll work closely with clients, project managers, contractors, and vendors from the initial consultation through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and whole-home remodeling projects using Chief Architect software.
  • Meet with homeowners to understand their goals, lifestyle, budget, and design preferences.
  • Develop floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and presentation materials.
  • Produce accurate, construction-ready drawings and design documentation.
  • Assist clients with selecting cabinetry, fixtures, finishes, flooring, lighting, colors, and materials.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout the design and construction process.
  • Revise plans based on client feedback while maintaining project schedules.
  • Ensure all designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, code-conscious, and buildable.
  • Maintain organized project files and accurate documentation for multiple active projects.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in residential interior design, home remodeling, or renovation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Chief Architect software is required.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, detailing, and space planning.
  • Experience producing construction-ready plans and professional design presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working directly with homeowners throughout the design process is highly preferred.
