About this role

You've Spent Your Career Being the One People Trust in a Crisis. Let's Put That to Work.

Firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics all have something in common: when things go wrong, you're the one people are relieved to see walk through the door. Calm. Capable. Trusted instantly.

That instinct is exactly what makes a great Restoration Business Development Representative — and it's rare. We're not looking for a typical salesperson. We're looking for someone who already knows how to show up for people on their worst day, and wants to build a career — and an income — around that strength.

Our client, an established and growing leader in the restoration industry, is seeking a Restoration Business Development Representative to build strategic relationships throughout the community while helping homeowners and businesses recover after fire, water, storm, and other property disasters. First responders are exactly who they had in mind for this role.

This isn't a high-pressure sales role, and it isn't cold calling. It's about earning trust before a disaster happens — and being the calm, knowledgeable professional families and business owners rely on when they need help the most.

If you're energized by networking, community involvement, relationship building, and consultative sales — and you've ever felt like there's more in you than your current role is using, while still doing what you're already great at — we'd love to meet you.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

- Base salary dependent on experience plus uncapped commission — unlimited earning potential

- Company vehicle and fuel reimbursement

- Company-provided cell phone and laptop

- Paid Time Off and flexible scheduling

- Comprehensive onboarding and mentorship

- Ongoing professional development and industry-leading training programs — no restoration experience required

- Career advancement opportunities with a rapidly growing organization

What You'll Do

As the Restoration Business Development Representative, you'll become the face of the company within your assigned territory. Your primary focus is building long-term relationships before disaster strikes while being ready to respond with confidence when emergencies occur.

- Develop relationships with fire departments, police departments, EMS, municipalities, insurance professionals, property managers, commercial clients, and community organizations — many of whom you likely already know

- Become a trusted local resource within your territory

- Attend networking events, chamber meetings, trade associations, and community functions

- Educate referral partners on emergency restoration services

- Respond to emergency property losses involving fire, water, storm, or other catastrophic events

- Meet with property owners during difficult situations with empathy, professionalism, and confidence

- Explain the restoration process and help customers make informed decisions

- Coordinate with operations and project management teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience

- Maintain strong communication with customers throughout the emergency response process

- Monitor incoming leads and respond quickly

- Manage your own pipeline and achieve individual sales and business development goals, with full support behind you

- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response

Why This Fits a First Responder Background

The ideal candidate is someone who naturally builds trust — equally comfortable speaking with firefighters, insurance adjusters, business owners, and homeowners experiencing one of the worst days of their lives.

- You already know how to stay calm under pressure — this role rewards that instead of just requiring it

- You already build trust fast — that's the entire job

- Your schedule and income are no longer capped by a shift calendar or a pay grade

- Every skill that made you good at your job in public safety translates directly here

Successful candidates are also:

- Relationship-focused and self-motivated

- Empathetic but confident

- Organized and accountable

- Comfortable working independently

- Excellent communicators, calm under pressure

- Driven by helping others while achieving results

Qualifications

- Proven experience in sales, business development, customer service, public safety, restoration, or a related field

- Strong networking and relationship-building skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication

- Comfortable speaking with individuals and groups

- Highly organized with strong time management skills

- Proficient with technology and CRM systems

- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

- Ability to work within an assigned territory

- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Physical Requirements

This role includes both office and field work. Candidates should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, walking job sites, climbing stairs, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and wearing personal protective equipment when necessary.

Why This Role Matters

This position is one of the most strategic hires within the organization. You'll help generate opportunities that support multiple business divisions while making a genuine difference in the lives of people facing unexpected property disasters.
