This position is primarily responsible for reviewing patient services in the Practice Management System (EPIC). The employee is responsible for charge review, claim edit, remit processing, payment entry and working accounts receivable for NACC Medical, Counseling and Dental clinics. The employee is also responsible for sorting and filing paperwork, handling insurance claims, and performing collections duties by performing the following duties.
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Working charge/payment/denial workques, billing and reimbursement operations, with the assistance of other NACC staff, in compliance with established policies, regulations, procedures and standards.
Responsible for maintaining the accounts receivable within internal policy requirements and working the aged accounts as required.
Prepares and/or maintains reports on billing and reimbursement activities, as requested by the Billing Manager.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of this organization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
