Job Summary

The RN Professional development coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that support the ongoing development of nursing staff while strengthening academic partnerships to cultivate the future nursing workforce. This role serves as a key liaison between the organization and academic institutions, ensuring high-quality student experiences and creating pathways for students to transition into professional nursing roles within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of nursing required
  • A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience is required; Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in long term care required.
  • Current Georgia License as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) & ACLS certification is required

Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen academic partnerships, engage key stakeholders, and develop innovative programs that support student success, nurse readiness, and long-term workforce sustainability.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow strong academic partnerships to support clinical placements and program expansion.
  • Design and support programs that create pathways from student to employee.
  • Collaborate with recruitment teams to enhance student-to-hire conversion strategies.
  • Additional duties as assigned
