About this role

Overview
We are seeking attentive, safety-focused drivers to support autonomous vehicle testing operations. This role is ideal for experienced drivers with a strong background in high-volume, app-based driving environments such as rideshare or delivery platforms.

If you have experience with companies like Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Uber Eats, or similar platforms, and are comfortable navigating dynamic urban environments while maintaining high safety standards, this role is a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate autonomous vehicles safely in real-world driving conditions
  • Monitor vehicle systems and remain ready to take control at all times
  • Navigate complex urban environments with high situational awareness
  • Collect and report data on system performance and road conditions
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections
  • Maintain a distraction-free and safety-first driving environment
  • Provide clear, accurate feedback to operations and engineering teams

Requirements

  • Valid U.S. driver’s license held for at least 1 year.
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional driving experience
  • Required: Experience driving for rideshare or delivery platforms (e.g., Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Uber Eats, or similar)
  • Must be 25 years or older (required for uber driving account)
  • Clean driving record (no DUIs or drug/alcohol-related offenses in the past 5 years)
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-demand driving environments
  • Strong hazard awareness and quick decision-making skills
  • Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation tools, and driver platforms (Tech Savy)
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume rideshare or delivery driving
  • Familiarity with navigation systems, driver apps, and real-time route adjustments
  • Defensive driving or safety certifications
  • Interest in autonomous vehicle technology

Schedule

  • Full-time (30–40+ hours per week)
  • Flexible scheduling based on operational needs
  • Shifts between 6:00 AM – 12:00 AM

Available shifts:

  • AM: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • PM: 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Potential workdays:

  • Wednesday – Saturday
  • Thursday – Sunday
  • Friday – Monday
  • Saturday – Tuesday

Weekend availability may be required

Pay & Employment Details

  • $25.00 per hour
  • Full-time, 1-year contract
  • On-site position (local candidates only)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
