The Safety Specialist is responsible for managing site safety, occupational health, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and corporate standards. This role supports risk prevention, regulatory compliance, ESG initiatives, and continuous improvement activities to promote a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace.
Safety Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain site safety programs and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, corporate EHS policies, and legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety audits.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Support compliance with the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate employee safety training and awareness programs.
Occupational Health Management
- Support occupational health programs and employee well-being initiatives.
- Coordinate mandatory health examinations and follow-up actions.
- Monitor workplace conditions and ensure compliance with occupational health requirements.
- Maintain health-related records and regulatory documentation.
Environmental Management
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Manage environmental monitoring, reporting, and documentation activities.
- Coordinate waste management and pollution prevention programs.
- Support sustainability and ESG-related environmental initiatives.
Compliance & ESG
- Maintain EHS records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Assist in ESG data collection, reporting, and improvement initiatives.
- Analyze EHS performance metrics and recommend improvement actions.
