Scaffolding Manager

Company Overview: A leading contracting company specializing in e.g., civil construction, infrastructure development, etc is seeking an experienced Scaffolding Manager to oversee all aspects of scaffolding operations within the projects. The Scaffolding Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient erection, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures across various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scaffolding operations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Responsibilities: Scaffolding Planning and Design: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop scaffolding plans that meet project requirements. Conduct site assessments to determine the type and amount of scaffolding needed for each project. Ensure scaffolding designs comply with relevant safety regulations and industry standards. Scaffolding Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the erection and dismantling of scaffolding structures at construction sites. Supervise scaffolding crews to ensure work is performed safely and according to design specifications. Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding to identify any safety hazards or maintenance needs. Coordinate with suppliers to procure scaffolding materials and equipment as needed. Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries. Conduct safety training sessions for scaffolding crews to promote awareness and compliance with safety regulations. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices related to scaffolding safety. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to coordinate scaffolding activities with other construction activities. Monitor progress and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure scaffolding work stays on track. Address any issues or concerns related to scaffolding operations in a timely manner. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all scaffolding installations meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct quality inspections to identify and address any deficiencies in scaffolding structures. Implement corrective actions as needed to maintain quality and integrity. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to scaffolding crews, including training, coaching, and performance feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes safety, productivity, and professionalism. Resolve conflicts or disputes among team members in a fair and constructive manner. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Proficiency in reading and interpreting scaffolding plans and designs. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to scaffolding operations. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities. Certification in scaffolding safety (e.g., CISRS, OSHA) is preferred. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different construction sites as needed.
