Misericordia Heart of Mercy is a home to over 600 children and adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities. Misericordia offers a community of care that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged.
POSITION SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist with the daily routine of the bakery packaging department. This is a temporary holiday position, not to exceed 19.25 hours a week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the bakery packaging at all times.
- Complete assigned tasks in the bakery or packaging area including oversight of volunteers, packaging of baked goods and gift boxes and all duties associated with packaging/shipping process.
- For clerical/data entry only; complete all data entry, verification of orders and other office duties as assigned.
- Responsible for leaving Bakery Packaging in a clean, neat, and organized manner at the end of the shift.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Seasonal position; work scheduled hours
- Seasonal employment runs from late October 2026 through end of December 2026.
- Pay rate is $19.00 per hour
- Amount of hours, including days and times will be discussed during screening interviews.
REQUIREMENTS (PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL) necessary to fulfill Essential Functions:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of equipment to be used in food service department. This can and will be taught during training.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Ability to communicate verbally, and understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.
- Must be able to function under limited supervision.
- Checklist will be provided during training to make sure all duties are requirements are understood.
- Must have FWS grant
