Job Description

This role establishes and monitors financial reporting systems, and prepares financial reports. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the cross boarder payments for our overseas pensioners.

• Monitor financial reporting systems.
• Prepare accounts, statements and invoices.
• Control and maintenance of accounting links to the ledger.
• Manage and action of audit queries applicable to the role.
• Maintain records of transactions made by the business unit.
• Monthly reporting on control accounts.
• Managing the process of all our swift payments to overseas pensioners.
• Managing and resolving all forex queries

 

Key Result Areas

Account Processing & Accounting Records, and daily processing functions

• Maintenance of leger accounts
• Provides monthly reporting on control accounts
• Prepares and maintains schedules for draft and swift payments
• Prepares and processes manual BOP forms
• Assists with the process of FOREX approval applications
• Maintaining and monitoring of transactions in bank accounts
• Ensure daily controls are actioned and reported

Job Requirement

• Matric with Accounting essential
• Other tertiary qualification advantageous
• 5 years experience in a financial environment
• Computer literate
• Working knowledge of the CAS Post Retirement business model and related system infrastructures advantageous.
• Thorough understanding of foreign exchange control processes and legislation.
