Westgold Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor Risk & Assurance to join our Perth Head Office team on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting to the Group Manager Safety & Training, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing Westgold's enterprise risk, critical risk management and assurance frameworks. Working across multiple business functions, you will provide practical risk advice, facilitate risk assessments, oversee assurance activities and support informed decision-making at all levels of the organisation.

This is an opportunity to influence strategic outcomes, partner with senior leaders and help strengthen risk management capability across a growing and dynamic mining business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Westgold's Risk Management Framework.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, workshops and reviews across operational and corporate functions.
  • Monitor material risks, emerging risks and key control performance.
  • Coordinate and support integrated assurance and verification activities.
  • Develop meaningful risk reporting, key risk indicators and management insights.
  • Provide practical risk advice to support operational, project and strategic decision-making.
  • Support executive and board reporting requirements.
  • Build organisational capability through coaching, training and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, regulators and assurance providers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance risk and assurance performance across the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Business, Commerce, Engineering, Safety or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in risk management, assurance, governance or critical risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks, assurance methodologies and governance principles.
  • Experience facilitating risk workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • The ability to influence outcomes and provide practical, commercially focused advice.
  • Experience within mining, resources or another complex and highly regulated industry.
  • Strong capability in reporting, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
