Senior AI Agent Engineer / Agent Wrangler
Do you know what happens after the AI demo?
Most AI projects look impressive during a presentation. Far fewer survive production.
We're looking for an experienced AI engineer to help one of Denmark's largest public organisations build, govern and operate AI agents that citizens and employees can actually rely on.
This is not a research role.
It is not an AI strategy role.
And it is not a prompt engineering role.
We're looking for someone who has already built agentic AI solutions in production and understands what happens when autonomous systems meet real users, governance requirements and operational reality.
What you'll do
You'll help establish the technical foundation for operational AI agents used in a complex public-sector environment.
Your responsibilities include:
Designing agent architectures and decision patterns
Defining agent autonomy and human-in-the-loop workflows
Building reusable agent frameworks, templates and guardrails
Reviewing architecture and code with experienced developers
Monitoring AI agents in production and improving behaviour over time
Investigating incidents, correcting agent behaviour and documenting changes
Advising on model strategy and fallback between open-source models
Helping internal development teams build AI solutions safely and consistently
We're looking for someone who has actually done this before
You have:
Built at least one agentic AI or autonomous LLM solution that is running in production
Designed how agents make decisions and when humans must intervene
Implemented both soft and hard guardrails
Worked with prompt design, input/output filtering and policy enforcement
Practical experience mitigating hallucinations, prompt injection and jailbreak attempts
Monitored AI systems after deployment and improved them based on production behaviour
Worked with evaluation, regression testing and AI quality assurance
Helped other developers through architecture reviews, code reviews or technical mentoring
Ideally you also have experience with
Multi-agent systems
LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI or similar orchestration frameworks
Open-source models
RAG architectures
Kubernetes
Python
Docker
EU-hosted AI platforms
GDPR, the EU AI Act and NIS2
What matters most
We're less interested in titles than experience.

What matters is that you've already built and operated agentic AI systems yourself.

Onsite collaboration with the customer four days per week
Fluent spoken and written Danish is a mandatory requirement
