The Senior Analyst, Strategy – Water Infrastructure (m/f/d), is a key member of Xylem’s Enterprise Strategy & Business Development team. This role supports the development, execution, and monitoring of strategic plans and initiatives that drive growth and operational excellence across the WSS segment.

In this role you will take ownership of workstreams focused on solving some of the most critical business challenges within the segment. You’ll help coordinate strategic planning processes, manage key initiatives, and deliver data-driven insights that inform business decisions. This position offers significant exposure to senior leaders and close collaboration with segment leadership, the Enterprise Strategy team, and cross-functional partners across the organization. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Support the development, execution, and monitoring of strategic plans for the segment, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Facilitate annual strategic planning processes, translating strategy into actionable KPIs and resource allocation.
  • Assist in preparing strategic materials for leadership reviews, including Board, Executive Leadership Team, and business performance meetings.

Initiative Management

  • Identify, prioritize, and coordinate strategic initiatives, ensuring effective execution and transition to business owners.
  • Track and report progress on strategic initiatives using standardized tools and templates.

Analytical Support & Market Insights

  • Conduct market, competitor, and trend analysis to inform planning and initiative management.
  • Centralize and disseminate market insights, supporting decision-making across the segment.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with segment leads, enterprise strategy, and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive strategic efforts.
  • Support capability building by executing training materials and best practices.

Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously improve strategic planning and initiative management processes for greater efficiency and impact.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Competencies, License/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or similar field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, including data collection, cleaning and interpretation, financial modelling, and scenario analysis.
  • Experience in strategic planning, capability strategy, management consulting, or related roles, with a record of supporting strategic initiatives is advantageous.
  • Ability to critically evaluate market trends and develop actionable strategies with clear goals and expected outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex findings to a variety of stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of the water industry, competitive environment, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion.
  • Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely hybrid autonomous work environment.
