Senior Client Partner - New Vertical

About this role

We are looking for a Senior Client Partner to lead the strategic expansion of the New Vertical segment in Italy. This is an opportunity to take on a leadership role within a fast-growing area of the business.

You are a senior commercial profile with strong experience in people management and development, and you will be responsible for growing a significant part of Deliveroo's New Vertical business by directly leading a team of Account Managers.

The role is primarily commercially focused with a strong people management component, and requires close cross-functional and international collaboration with the Operations, Marketing and Product teams to ensure success.

Responsibilities

- Lead and grow a team of Account Managers dedicated to the Grocery and Retail segment, setting goals, priorities and individual development plans.

- Own the commercial results of the segment, define together with New Verticals Director and other New Verticals leaders the strategy to achieve results and to expand the segment in order to achieve quarterly and yearly goals

- Lead most relevant negotiations and the relationship with most senior stakeholders among our main Partners

- Work closely with Marketing & Merchandising functions to pull the right levers in order to impact business results and ensure highest Customer Experience.

- Collaborate with the Operations to drive efficiencies, improve partner outcomes and accelerate growth of the segment.

- Lead the team's quarterly planning process, working with the HQ Strategy & Finance team to develop accurate forecasting, monitoring and reporting.

- Work closely with the "New Businesses" leadership team and other groups at Deliveroo to deliver high-impact projects.

- Mentor and develop the team, fostering the professional growth of each team member and building a cohesive, high-performing working environment.


Requirements

- We ask that you have a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills and people management experience, with a track record of exceeding commercial targets, as well as:

- At least 5 years of experience in commercially focused roles with team management and development responsibility.

- Prior experience in direct people management, including goal setting, performance evaluation and team development.

- Experience in Retail, Grocery and/or FMCG sectors is a plus.

- Experience growing commercial performance through effective trading, while delivering on budget and against a long-term strategy.

- Strong analytical mindset and ability to read commercial data.

- Commercial & Marketing Acumen – deep knowledge of industry trends, competition, best practices, and other factors that affect profitability and business success. Able to rapidly understand how the business operates and what drives profitable growth.

- Customer Obsessed – understands and connects with customers/partners, with the goal of building services and products that serve their best interests.

- Tactical & Strategic – able to think big while also executing on-the-fly, understanding the dynamics, interdependencies and implications of decisions.

- Stakeholder Management – able to engage, inform, and gain the support of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation

National Collective Agreement (CBA): CCNL Commercio e Terziario

Classification Level: Quadro

The total target compensation (OTE - On-Target Earnings, ovvero la retribuzione totale prevista al raggiungimento del 100% degli obiettivi) for this role is €74000 – €93,000 gross per year, of which the base salary range is €63.000 - 75.000. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed above and is determined based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

This position would be eligible for consideration for an equity award grant of restricted stock units on commencement and during the annual pay review cycle. Upon commencement of employment, you would be eligible to be considered for a grant. Thereafter, any further grants would be at the Company's discretion.
