The Corporate Communications Manager, North Asia will be the primary reputation and leadership communications partner for the region. This role is responsible for developing and executing external communications strategies, managing sensitive communications and reputation issues across the region, and leading on leadership visibility to reinforce our brand leadership and social commitment. The role will collaborate with market teams as well as the global team to elevate the brand’s image and reputation in North Asia. This role will report directly to the Head of Communications, North Asia and will be based in Hong Kong

Corporate Communications:
Build a coherent, proactive reputation strategy and common vision to amplify one singular voice and grow the positive influence and impact of Chanel in the North Asia region. Elevate brand visibility and leadership through compelling storytelling and tailored communications.
Conceive and implement strategic campaigns and build engagement about sustainability, employer branding, and social commitments.
Sensitive Communication Management:
Develop and execute reputation management strategies, structures, plans and capabilities to identify and address relevant issues for North Asia.
Assess evolving issues with discretion and agility, embedding strategic judgment into both proactive and reactive communications.
Act decisively to protect and enhance the House’s reputation, lead crisis communications and issues management in close collaboration with the Global Sensitive communications team, ensuring timely and effective responses to any issues that may arise.
Leadership Communications:
Orchestrate communications for the regional leadership team, ensuring all touchpoints reflect the House’s unique vision and values. Craft compelling speeches, messages, and presentations for internal and external engagements, reinforcing the House’s commitment to authenticity, creative leadership, and stakeholder inspiration.
Provide strategic counsel to leadership for high-profile interviews, town halls, and industry forums, ensuring alignment and consistency across every channel.
Internal Communications:
Implement the region’s internal communications strategy through compelling content creation and interactive communications initiatives.
Coordinate and manage internal communications platforms with alignment and engagement across the region.
Global-Regional-Market Alignment:
Cascade global content and messaging, adapting for regional specificity and working closely with Markets to ensure consistency.
Represent the region in global editorial forums, ensuring two-way communication and influence.

What you can bring to the team…
Education: Bachelor's degree and above in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media relations. A mix of in-house and agency experience is preferred.
Complete fluency in written and spoken English is essential; Professional proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin or Korean would be a significant advantage.
Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful, high-impact PR and communications campaigns.
Strong crisis and issues management experience with a calm and strategic approach under pressure.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and compelling messages.
Strategic thinker, highly collaborative, poised, results-oriented, and able to navigate a complex, matrixed organization.
