  • Maintain data lineage, metadata, classifications and transformation rules across key domains such as portfolios, funds, instruments, holdings, transactions and returns.

Data Ingestion, Transformation & Control Design

  • Build quality controls into ingestion and transformation processes so issues are identified before data reaches reporting or target systems.
  • Apply business rules, validation checks, tolerances and control evidence to promote raw data into certified, trusted datasets.

  • Continuously improve control coverage, exception monitoring and reusable data assets as the enterprise model matures.

Data Quality, Governance & Exception Management

  • Define and monitor data-quality standards for critical data elements, with clear visibility of exceptions and remediation status.

  • Oversee classifications, reference data, manager-sourced inputs and recurring validations required for critical reporting cycles.

Stakeholder Delivery, Data Literacy & Advisory

  • Improve transparency and data literacy through data dictionaries, SOPs, practical guidance and clear explanation of data flows.

Cultural Alignment

  • Live Symmetry’s values in how the role partners, delivers and supports the business.

Qualifications and Experience required

  • 5+ years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, analytics in an investment operations environment.

  • Strong SQL capability and experience working with enterprise reporting platforms, data warehouses, or investment data systems.
  • Advanced capability in modern business-intelligence tools, including the ability to design clear, reliable dashboards and self-service reporting outputs.
  • Experience working with system-to-system data connectivity, structured data feeds, or integration-led reporting processes.
  • Strong understanding of investment data, including instruments, portfolios, funds, classifications, returns, holdings and reference data.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage complexity, prioritise independently, and deliver under deadline pressure without compromising quality.

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to a multi-manager, asset management, investment platform, or financial services reporting environment.
  • Experience supporting compliance, regulatory, client, fund, or management reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with reporting governance, audit-ready controls, exception management, and data-quality frameworks.
  • Ability to mentor analysts and improve team ways of working through documentation, review, and reusable reporting standards.

What You’ll Gain

  • Ownership of high-impact reporting and analytics that directly support investment and business decision-making.
