Key Responsibilities

 

Enterprise Strategy & Business Partnership

 

  • Serve as a strategic finance advisor to China business and functional leaders, providing forward-looking insights on growth, profitability, investment, resource allocation, and risk.
  • Shape enterprise-wide commercial finance strategy across China divisions and business groups, strengthening cross-divisional collaboration and total company value creation.
  • Partner with business leaders on MBR, QBR, AOP, and STRAP, translating market dynamics and business priorities into clear financial plans and actions.
  • Evaluate strategic investments, partnerships, localization, and transformation initiatives, while developing mitigation plans for local competition, market slowdown, and other external challenges.

 

Commercial Performance, Pricing & Profitable Growth

 

  • Lead financial planning and performance management, converting business strategies and market assumptions into robust forecasts, targets, and measurable objectives.
  • Own China pricing strategy and governance, driving competitive pricing actions and market repositioning to improve profitability, market share, and long-term sustainability.
  • Partner with commercial and operational leaders to improve revenue, margin, mix, sales productivity, operating expenses, working capital, cash flow, and return on investment.
  • Lead executive reporting and business reviews, consolidating financial and operational inputs into a clear performance narrative with actionable recommendations.

 

Finance Transformation, Operational Excellence & Governance

 

  • Lead AI and finance digital transformation initiatives, including analytics dashboards, AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, and automation for forecasting, reporting, and decision support.
  • Simplify, standardize, and scale finance processes and operating mechanisms to improve speed, consistency, transparency, and organizational agility.
  • Drive cost efficiency and productivity through benchmarking, spend analysis, process simplification, resource optimization, and the PPI Business System.
  • Maintain strong financial governance by partnering with controllership, tax, treasury, audit, legal, and compliance teams to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and timely risk resolution.

 

Organization Leadership & Enterprise Influence

 

  • Lead and develop a commercial finance organization supporting business groups in a complex matrix environment.
  • Build a high-performing, commercially oriented finance organization with strong capabilities in business partnership, pricing, analytics, and digital transformation.
  • Establish robust talent development and succession plans, while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement culture.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across businesses, functions, and geographies to align priorities and mobilize teams around enterprise objectives.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline; MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Typically 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant leadership experience in commercial finance, FP&A, pricing, or business finance.
  • Proven success in a senior finance leadership role within a large, complex multinational organization, with experience leading sizable teams in a matrix environment.
  • Strong expertise in strategic planning, forecasting, pricing, investment evaluation, executive reporting, performance management, and resource allocation.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert market and business dynamics into actionable insights, strategic recommendations, and risk-mitigation plans.
  • Proven experience leading productivity, cost-efficiency, process transformation, digitalization, automation, or advanced analytics initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, financial controls, corporate governance, and the China business and regulatory environment.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, with strong executive presence, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
