Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams building scalable, secure, and cloud-native data services. This leader will drive execution across distributed systems, data infrastructure, platform services, and cloud technologies while partnering closely with Product Management, Architecture, Support, and Customer teams.

The ideal candidate combines deep engineering leadership experience with strong technical acumen in large-scale data platforms, SaaS services, and modern software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow multiple engineering teams delivering enterprise-grade data services and platform capabilities.

• Drive execution for roadmap delivery, operational excellence, and engineering quality.

• Partner with Product Management and Architecture teams to define technical strategy and priorities.

• Build highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems running across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

• Establish engineering best practices including CI/CD, observability, test automation, resiliency, and incident management.

• Mentor and develop engineering managers, technical leads, and senior engineers.

• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on accountability, innovation, collaboration, and inclusion.

• Manage planning, staffing, performance management, and career development activities.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Support, Security, DevOps, and Customer Success organizations.

• Drive operational metrics, service reliability, and customer satisfaction improvements.

• Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making for core platform services.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with 3–5+ years managing engineering teams.

• Experience leading managers and geographically distributed engineering teams.

• Strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or data platforms.

• Experience with technologies such as:

  • Kubernetes

  • Docker

  • Java / Scala / Python / Go

  • REST/gRPC APIs

  • Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Iceberg, or related data technologies

  • AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Strong understanding of SaaS platform operations and reliability engineering.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps practices.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven ability to deliver complex technical initiatives at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise data management, analytics, AI/ML, or data lakehouse technologies.

• Experience managing platform modernization or cloud migration initiatives.

• Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and enterprise software delivery.

• Experience operating services with strict SLAs and compliance requirements.
