About the Position
The Senior Events Advisor is responsible for developing and delivering events and experiences for a diverse range of external audiences. The role coordinates and delivers engaging events and tours ensuring that WEHI is represented in a positive and inspiring manner.
The role works collaboratively across the Engagement and Communications department and is a key support for Fundraising and Philanthropy as well as other internal and external stakeholders to plan, coordinate and deliver events.
The role is responsible for identifying resourcing requirements for events and supports organisers to ensure that they meet their desired objectives within budget and other parameters. The role uses learnings to continuously improve event effectiveness and builds guidelines and processes to support WEHI staff to plan and manage future events.

Selection Criteria
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
A tertiary qualification or equivalent related experience in events, marketing or similar.
Demonstrated experience delivering events from start to finish, including evaluation.
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with strong attention to detail
Ability to work with limited guidance and under pressure in a team environment.
Personal Qualities:
Demonstrated ability to deal efficiently, professionally and courteously with people at all levels (both internal and external).
Ability to work at after-hours events on occasion and maintain excellent service levels.
Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and operate effectively with uncertainty.
Current First Aid, RSA and Working With Children Check (WWCC) certifications are preferred. If you do not currently hold these qualifications, a willingness to obtain them upon commencement is essential.

Terms of Appointment
This position is ongoing in a full-time capacity. Salary PSE 7 ($108,119 - $117,039). Very attractive salary packaging options are available for general living expenses, meal entertainment, novated leasing and more. 12% superannuation payable, plus up to a further 5% after the first 6 months of service via our matching superannuation scheme.
