Our client, a logistics company, is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resource Manager to oversee all HR and administrative functions, ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws, and support management in building a productive, disciplined, and customer-focused workforce. The role is responsible for payroll coordination, employee relations, recruitment, training, and maintaining a positive work environment that supports operational efficiency. Responsibilities Ensure strict compliance with company regulations, policies, and office administration procedures. Oversee staff payroll preparation and submit it to the CFO after verifying eligibility and settlement requirements. Provide guidance and counselling to employees on HR policies, procedures, and conduct. Monitor employee behaviour and enforce high standards of professionalism and customer service. Actively participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and termination processes. Design and implement effective onboarding and induction programs for new employees. Support the management of disciplinary actions and grievance handling in line with company policy and labor laws. Develop and coordinate training and staff development programs. Coordinate and respond to emergency and critical staff-related situations. Liaise closely with drivers, operations teams, and management to support daily business operations. Maintain accurate employee records, attendance, and leave data in accordance with policy and legal requirements. Resolve workplace disputes and manage employee relations issues effectively. Review employment terms and working conditions to ensure compliance with labor legislation and best practices. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field from a recognized institution. Professional HR certification (such as CHRP, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is an added advantage. Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proven experience handling payroll coordination, employee relations, recruitment, and disciplinary processes. Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices. Experience working within the logistics, transport, or operations-driven environment is a strong advantage.
