Senior Lead Developer - Java

Client is looking for a Senior Lead Developer within Team HODOR. Team HODOR is a scrum team consisting of developers, testers, an analyst, and a product owner. The API through which notaries can submit declarations from their own software packages to Client. The team is responsible for realizing the entire chain—from submitting the declaration via our API, presenting it in the systems where more than 200 back-office employees process the declarations, to processing them in the Trade Register. Additionally, we support notarial software providers who implement, including implementation assistance, troubleshooting, and presentations. Notaries are an important target group for client: they are responsible for 20% of the submissions at client. Likewise, client is important to notaries: without that, they cannot assist their clients (entrepreneurs) with, for example, starting a business. Timeliness is a crucial factor for notaries. As a team, we are responsible for ensuring that notaries This assignment concerns a temporary position for realizing the entire chain—from submitting declarations via our API, presenting them in the systems where the 200+ back-office employees process them, to processing them in the Trade Register. The goal is for the contractor to apply their specific expertise to ensure complex projects succeed in an entrepreneurial and result-oriented manner. Activities include: Translating epics and features into technical solutions; Designing, coding, and correcting programs and scripts based on agreed specifications using established standards and tools; Contributing to and developing existing or known technical solutions; Reviewing own work and assessing colleagues’ work to further improve product quality; Developing, in close consultation with stakeholders, integrated new technical IT solutions depending on the type of application. Expected deliverables: Delivering technical solution directions based on supplied epics and features, so they can be implemented within the organization’s architecture; Delivering working and tested programs and scripts that meet pre-agreed specifications, standards, and tools; Implementing improved or new technical components within existing IT solutions to increase stability, scalability, or performance; Providing tested software code with peer feedback and documentation, promoting code quality and knowledge sharing within the team; Delivering integrated technical solutions developed in alignment with relevant stakeholders, fitting within the functional and technical constraints of the application environment. The assignment ends when the requested deliverables are completed, though extensions are possible depending on progress and availability. Requirements Candidate has at least a completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) degree; Candidate has at least 8 years of demonstrable experience in software development (within the last 10 years); Candidate has at least 8 years of demonstrable experience with Java development (within the last 10 years); Candidate has at least 5 years of demonstrable experience with Spring (Boot), Kubernetes, and Docker (within the last 7 years); Candidate has at least 3 years of demonstrable experience with Angular (within the last 7 years); Candidate has at least 3 years of demonstrable experience with Agile methodology (within the last 5 years); Candidate has current knowledge and experience (within the last 5 years) in Java web application development, JPA/Hibernate, SQL, and Unit testing; Candidate has current knowledge and experience (within the last 5 years) with REST, SOAP, Cucumber, CI/CD, and Swagger/OpenAPI. Note: Dutch proficiency is a must for this role.
