Job Description
What a Senior Manager, Consumer Solutions does at Visa:
- Responsible for Malaysia growth product solution planning and implementation across emerging and strategic product capabilities, including Visa Flexible Credentials, Visa Agentic Commerce, Stablecoin-related solutions.
- Lead development of Go-To-Market plans for Visa’s next-generation consumer capabilities, working closely with clients to identify relevant use cases, value propositions and commercialization opportunities.
- Drive market strategy and client engagement for Visa Flexible Credentials, including flexible credential propositions, cardholder choice, funding-source flexibility and issuer enablement opportunities.
- Lead commercialization of Visa’s latest issuing and acceptance product, including solutions that help consumers pay seamlessly and enable sellers / micro-merchants to accept payments across Visa’s network.
- Support the development of Malaysia’s strategy for Visa Agentic Commerce, including AI-enabled commerce, agentic payment experiences, tokenized credentials, consumer consent, authentication, trusted agent interactions and ecosystem readiness.
- Support market exploration and commercialization discussions for Stablecoin and digital currency–related payment opportunities, including settlement, payouts, cross-border use cases and emerging client propositions.
- Develop market-facing thought leadership and client materials on future commerce themes such as AI commerce, wallets, embedded payments, tokenization, alternative rails, stablecoins and digital identity.
- Collaborate with various Visa internal stakeholders including Country Management, Business Development, Hub Products, Value Added Services, Consulting & Analytics, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Finance to deliver country goals and strategic priorities.
- Lead as a subject matter expert in consumer product and solutions strategy, including product roadmap shaping, solution design, client prioritization, pricing inputs, infrastructure readiness and go-to-market execution.
- Build strong working relationships with issuers, fintechs, digital wallets, acquirers, merchants and ecosystem partners to ensure successful implementation of product platforms and solution pilots.
- Work closely with Account Executives and functional teams on key strategic initiatives that drive payment volume growth, new credentials, digital adoption, acceptance expansion, revenue growth and broader Visa network relevance.
- Partner with regional and global product teams to provide market feedback, influence product development, and localize Visa capabilities for Malaysia’s regulatory, client and consumer landscape.
- Monitor market trends, competitor developments, regulatory changes and client needs to identify new opportunities for Visa to capture growth in emerging payments and future commerce.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- At least 8+ years of payments industry and progressively responsible business experience
- Extensive experience in designing, developing and launching payments products in Malaysia
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye for data extraction, manipulation and insight development with limited data
- Be a leader, self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to influence and communicate effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills, and proven ability to influence and communicate effectively
What will also help:
- Work experience in retail banking, digital banking, fintech, payments consulting, merchant acquiring, digital wallets, card issuing, product strategy or payment innovation.
- Advanced knowledge of Malaysia’s payments landscape, including banks, wallets, e-money issuers, acquirers, PayNet / DuitNow QR, contactless payments, domestic payment trends and emerging regulatory themes.
- Experience working with senior client stakeholders across banks, fintechs, merchants, acquirers or technology partners.
- Exposure to AI, agentic commerce, digital identity, blockchain, stablecoins, tokenized deposits or digital asset payment infrastructure.
- Ability to create client-ready materials, product narratives, strategy papers, business cases and executive presentations.
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively across functional lines and regional / global teams.
- Ability to be creative, structured and pragmatic in managing competing priorities to achieve commercial outcomes.
- Strong curiosity for innovation and a passion for shaping the future of consumer payments in Malaysia.
