• Conceptualise and strategise outreach and education efforts to raise awareness on animal welfare, public health and responsible pet ownership, including events and volunteer programmes
• Conceptualise, plan and implement effective engagement strategies to understand the needs or challenges of stakeholder and citizen groups, leading to formulation of ideas and proposal of action plans to mitigate and manage these challenges
• Network and forge partnerships with stakeholders such as volunteers, animal groups, industry partners, government agencies and external organisations in order to encourage understanding and appreciation of animal health and welfare matters
• Oversee different communication and publicity channels to promote the team’s events and programmes, as well as explore new media trends to expand the reach
• Plan and coordinate the team’s project timelines, budgeting, training and development, and wellbeing
• Perform other assignments or projects as required
[What we are looking for]
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in public education/outreach programmes, stakeholder engagement, marketing communications or event management
• Led or involved in strategising and conceptualising public education plans and adapting them to various target audiences with different backgrounds, as well as scaling up successful programmes
• Had experience in facilitating conversations and dialogue sessions with stakeholders and members of the public to problem-solve or get buy-ins. Experience in utilizing co-creation tools or methodologies like Design Thinking, Human-Centred Design etc. is a value-add to the team
• Have the interest to understand policies and science-based approaches to problem solving and managing challenges related to animal welfare
• Good team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills, as well as possess the ability to easily connect with team members of various backgrounds
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Creative and resourceful individual who can work well with a diverse group of team members and stakeholders
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Willing to work after office hours and during weekends when required
• Possess initiative and drive, and a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve desirable outcomes
