About this role

​Role Summary

  • Lead the Advanced Systems Engineering organization, driving technology innovation, systems engineering excellence, and execution efficiency.
  • Develop and execute technology roadmaps, advanced engineering initiatives, and innovation programs aligned with stakeholders from multiple product lines and their business objectives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing organization of managers and technical experts while fostering collaboration across engineering, product management, architecture, and external partners.

​Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop managers, senior engineers, architects, and technical experts within the Advanced Systems Engineering organization.
  • Define and execute technology strategies, roadmaps, and innovation initiatives.
  • Drive advanced engineering activities across systems engineering, software engineering, and product innovation.
  • Deploy advanced AI based engineering methodologies and push the boundaries for efficiency and outcomes
  • Support the development of next-generation software and system concepts for future mobility solutions. This includes conventional embedded SW, edge and agentic AI as well as tools.
  • Foster collaboration across engineering, product management, architecture, and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish organizational priorities and ensure effective resource planning and execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering practices, methodologies, and development processes.
  • Support and manage external collaborations with industry partners, universities, and research institutions.
  • Support innovation funding activities and participation in collaborative research programs.
  • Build a culture of innovation, accountability, technical excellence, and talent development.

Job Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in engineering, R&D, or technology organizations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong background in systems engineering, software engineering, product development, or technology innovation.
  • Practical experience in deploying gen AI and agentic AI tooling in software development.
  • Experience driving technology strategy, roadmaps, and innovation initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive technologies and software-defined systems is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and develop talent.

Please note: The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks. The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
