[What the role is]

You will perform data collection and analysis as part of the Research Team under the Communications Analytics Division (CAD), supporting the transformation of diverse data sources into actionable insights that guide policies, messaging and outreach.

[What you will be working on]

Research Design and Methodology:

  • You will be part of the team which designs and executes statistical studies using appropriate methodologies and sampling techniques. This includes designing sampling strategies and survey instruments for primary data collection, evaluating and recommending appropriate statistical techniques for different research questions and ensuring compliance with statistical standards and best practices.

Data Analysis & Insights Generation

  • You will be part of the team which analyses diverse datasets [such as quantitative, qualitative or unstructured data (e.g., survey data, public sentiment, stakeholder feedback, environmental scans)] using statistical methods and analytical techniques to uncover patterns and generate insights. This involves data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and validating findings to support evidence-based decision-making of diverse stakeholders..

Automation & Visualisation

  • You will assist in automating processes, developing data visualisations (such as dashboards), and implementing technological solutions that enable timely insights to inform policies, communications, and public engagement strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • You will work closely with policy teams to ensure insights are effectively communicated.

[What we are looking for]

At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in data collection, analytics, or related fields involving statistical analysis.

Additional experiences valued:

  • Survey methodology and sampling techniques
  • Developing data visualisation products (using Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, or similar)
  • Proficiency in coding tools (such as SPSS, R, Python) and statistical analysis.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Conducting data analysis independently
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to synthesise complex information from multiple sources into clear insights.
  • Strong writing, editing and proof-reading skills with the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences. 
  • Familiarity with natural language processing, machine learning concepts is advantageous
