Senior Mining Engineer - Open Pit

We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer with open pit experience to join our Northern Operations on an 8/6 FIFO roster.
You will play a key role in safely executing the mine plan through pit design, scheduling, drill and blast optimisation, and operational support. Working closely with site teams, you will drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor short and medium-term mine plans
- Monitor compliance to plan and implement corrective actions as required
- Conduct pit inspections and QA/QC activities to ensure safe and efficient mining practices
- Design and optimise drill and blast plans to maximise productivity and minimise costs
- Support operational improvement and mine infrastructure projects
- Assist with planning deliverables and provide technical support to site operations
About You
- Proficient in Deswik CAD, Deswik OPDB, and Microsoft Office
- Experience in open pit drill and blast design and optimisation
- Strong understanding of pit design, scheduling, and mine planning principles
- Bachelor of Mining Engineering (or equivalent)
- Current unrestricted WA "C" Class Driver's Licence
- Quarry Manager's Certificate of Competency (or actively working towards it) desirable
