Overview of the Role
The Senior Mortgage Broking Assistant supports the mortgage broking team by managing complex loan applications and ensuring a smooth and timely process from submission to settlement. This role involves mentoring junior assistants, liaising with clients and lenders, and providing high-level administrative support.


Main duties include:

  • Coordinate and manage complex loan applications, including document preparation and submission.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior mortgage broking assistants.
  • Maintain communication with clients, lenders, settlement agents, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless loan process.
  • Manage post-settlement client care and follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant banking and lending regulations.
  • Update and maintain CRM databases and other record-keeping systems.
  • Assist with process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience in mortgage broking or a related financial services role, with at least 3 years in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex mortgage applications from start to finish.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as MyCRM, ApplyOnline, or similar.
  • Knowledge of various lending products including asset finance, cash flow lending, debtor finance, and property finance is preferred.
