Senior .NET Developer

Our client in the public sector is developing a modern, secure, and cloud-based data-exchange platform to replace a legacy integration system. This new platform will serve as a core component within a national digital transformation program, connecting multiple institutional systems through API-driven integration and Azure Cloud services. As a Senior .NET Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and migration of this new solution, collaborating with architects, analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure a seamless transition from the existing middleware environment. Requirements · Design and develop .NET-based components for the new data-exchange and integration platform. · Integrate existing and future applications through APIs and cloud services. · Configure and administer API Management and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) components. · Develop and maintain solutions using C#, ASP.NET, and Azure Logic Apps. · Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with Git-based tools and automation frameworks. · Participate in unit testing, validation, and creation of technical documentation. · Support data migration from the legacy platform to the new architecture. · Collaborate through JIRA and Confluence for sprint tracking, issue management, and documentation. · Contribute to infrastructure automation with Terraform (if applicable). · Ensure data integrity, performance, and security throughout all development stages. Technical Requirements · 5 + years of hands-on experience with .NET (C#, ASP.NET). · Experience with Azure Logic Apps, API Management, and ESB. · Strong understanding of Azure Cloud environments and deployment patterns. · Knowledge of API design, REST standards, and cloud-security best practices. · Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern DevOps delivery pipelines. · Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools (advantage). · Practical experience in enterprise or public-sector projects preferred. · Daily working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence. Soft Skills · Autonomous and quality-driven with strong sense of ownership. · Excellent analytical and documentation skills. · Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams. · Curious, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to complex environments. Languages · Good command of English (spoken and written). · Working proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus; bilingual profile preferred.
