The Google Augmented Reality team is a group of experts tasked with
building the foundations for great immersive computing and building

Responsibilities:
- Production Process Review: Conduct on site reviews of manufacturing processes at partner facilities to ensure compliance with technical requirements and process standards.
- Yield Management and Issue Resolution: Lead on site root cause analysis for production anomalies and drive rapid corrective actions to maintain yield targets during ramp up.
- Manufacturing Execution and Automation: Oversee the bring up and qualification of automated production lines, ensuring assembly processes including alignment and curing meet performance requirements.
- Quality and Cosmetic Monitoring: Monitor factory floor quality metrics and cosmetic inspection results, ensuring partner processes effectively filter defects to meet shipping quality standards.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in optical system development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience bringing up automated active alignment systems from equipment qualification through mass production ramp up.
- Ability to lead technical deep dives with factory partners to resolve complex assembly yield issues in high volume environments.
- Knowledge of balancing optical performance versus manufacturing cost and complexity in AR or miniaturized module designs.
- Excellent track record of mentoring factory floor personnel to improve operational discipline and product cosmetic standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills demonstrated by the ability to prioritize and execute corrective actions under tight production schedules.
