About this role

At IQVIA, we help bring life-changing therapies to patients faster. As a Senior Patient Recruitment Strategy Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering patient recruitment and retention solutions for global clinical trials.

Working closely with sponsors, study teams, and patient recruitment specialists, you will translate recruitment strategies into actionable operational plans, ensuring studies achieve enrollment goals and maintain strong patient engagement. This is a highly visible, client-facing role that combines strategic thinking, operational leadership, commercial accountability, and deep expertise in clinical trial patient recruitment.

You will lead recruitment and retention initiatives for large, complex, multi-regional studies and programs, providing strategic guidance to sponsors while driving measurable improvements in study performance.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with sponsors and internal teams to implement patient recruitment and retention strategies for global clinical trials.
  • Translate strategic recommendations into operational and tactical plans that support enrollment and retention goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to sponsors, providing expert guidance based on study performance, recruitment metrics, and industry best practices.
  • Act as the primary operational lead for assigned recruitment and retention programs, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder alignment.
  • Monitor study performance and proactively recommend adjustments to recruitment approaches, tactics, and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to deliver recruitment, retention, and patient engagement initiatives.
  • Manage program budgets and financial performance, ensuring delivery against operational and commercial objectives.
  • Identify potential risks to recruitment targets and implement mitigation strategies to keep studies on track.
  • Represent IQVIA at sponsor meetings, investigator meetings, study kick-offs, and recruitment workshops.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative recruitment solutions by leveraging emerging technologies, market intelligence, and industry trends.
  • Provide leadership and oversight on large-scale studies and programs, supporting team members and driving operational excellence.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and study outcomes.

What We're Looking For

  • Approximately 6+ years of experience within clinical research, life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments with exposure to global or multi-regional studies.
  • Strong experience in patient recruitment, patient engagement, patient retention, or clinical trial enrollment strategy.
  • Proven ability to work directly with sponsors and other external stakeholders in a client-facing capacity.
  • Strong project and financial management skills, including budget planning, forecasting, and oversight.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
