JOB DUTIES:            

Lead cross functional project work as directed, working with other teams at the firm as required. Provide day-to-day coaching of junior team members on processes and analysis requests. Proactively identify issues or opportunities for process improvements; propose and lead implementation of solutions. Ensure firm adheres to Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS); coordinate work with external verifier to complete annual exam as required. Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Client Portfolio Managers to support ad-hoc analysis requests for the Marketing department or other key stakeholders. Calculate, analyze, and report portfolio, security, and benchmark performance in ways best serving our stakeholders needs. Proactively identify impact of changes upstream to these processes. Lead the interpretation and communication of attribution analysis to key stakeholders. Manage the preparation and review of risk and return data for client reports and prospective client presentations. Review and approve team deliverables, perform quality control checks and ensure adherence to established procedures and best practices. Establish and maintain strong operational controls and documentation to support a robust control environment. Eligible for telecommuting from home within reasonable commuting distance from Chicago, IL. Will require physical presence at worksite in Chicago, IL at least several days a week.

 

REQUIREMENTS:   

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Accounting or Finance, or related field. and 3 years of experience as an investment analyst, finance/economics research analyst, performance analyst, or other role that provided experience with the formulas, calculations, and mathematics of performance and risk measurement.

Experience must include three (3) years of experience in all of the following:

  1. Experience with conventions of performance analysis and risk measurement.
  2. Data management skills on Excel and Power BI.
  3. Experience with Global Investment Performance Standards.
  4. Analysis of macroeconomic trends and development of clear, insightful visualizations using tools such as Morningstar Direct, Factset, Bloomberg, or other related analytical tools
  5. SQL, VBA, or other programming languages to review, validate, and ensure the accuracy and quality of data across multiple sources.
  6. Develop and maintain automated reports using coding languages to streamline recurring deliverables and reduce the risk of manual errors.
