Job Description

We’re looking for a visionary Senior Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll help expand our customer visibility platform into a new $1 billion vertical — owning the 0-1 product definition from early research through launch. As an early product manager at Baton, you’ll have an opportunity to make a huge impact through owning numerous mission-critical product initiatives. You’ll collaborate with engineers, designers, operators, customers, and leadership in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. We’re looking for people who are scrappy, determined, and driven to make complex and inefficient systems work better.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full product development life cycle, from need-finding to product vision and execution
  • Own the 0-1 definition and launch of a new product line, expanding our customer visibility platform into a new $1 billion vertical
  • Partner closely with internal Ryder operations and IT stakeholders to align the product vision with a major platform transformation already underway
  • Work with design to drive prototyping and early ideation of new product features and capabilities across various logistics workflows
  • Navigate relationships to execute cross-department projects touching every inch of the organization
  • Always keep a mind towards future products and initiatives to help shape our tech vision for 1, 5, and 10 years down the line

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience building 0-1 products and delivering exceptional user experiences
  • Experience shipping web applications or user-facing applications
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization
  • Ability to execute with minimal guidance
  • Strong data-driven analytical skills to back up assumptions and recommendations
  • Comfort working alongside complex enterprise systems and integrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience
  • 4+ years experience in product management
  • Comfortable in ambiguous situations and dynamic environments and understand what fast-growing startups entail for PMs
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally within freight, logistics, manufacturing, or another operationally complex industry

The Perks

  • Competitive Base Salary + Cash Bonus Structure
  • Annual Company Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan
  • 401k with Matching
  • Hybrid Work Schedule
  • Hyper-Stable, publicly traded Enterprise
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Health Coverage
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (15% discount to market value)
  • Collaborative, Fun, and Tech-Forward office in Hayes Valley, San Francisco, CA

Compensation Range: The annual base salary range for this position is $190,000 - $240,000*. Compensation will vary based on factors including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. In addition to base salary, Baton's full-time employees are eligible for an annual performance bonus.

Why You Should Join

  • Have an immediate impact:
    • With Ryder’s existing customer base of 50,000+ companies and an internal headcount of 43,000, the scale and impact of our products will be large and far-reaching, from day one.
  • Opportunity to grow and lead in a Fortune 500 company:
    • You’ll get to work in a rapidly growing, startup-like environment while having the stability and backing of Ryder and its full executive team.
  • Creative, fast-paced environment to solve impactful problems in Supply Chain:
    • We’re going to design completely new tools for an industry that hasn’t been rethought in decades. And to do this, we need people who think differently.
