About the Role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead strategic business transformation initiatives across the global Quote-to-Cash (QTC) process as part of the company's S/4HANA transformation program. This role will also lead post-acquisition integration initiatives, ensuring acquired businesses are successfully integrated into Applied Materials' business processes, operating models, governance structures, and enterprise systems.

The successful candidate will serve as a key transformation leader, partnering with Sales, Customer Business Operations, Order Management, Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Legal, and executive stakeholders to drive process harmonization, organizational change, and business value realization across a highly matrixed global environment.

This position requires a strong combination of program leadership, business process expertise, executive communication, and change management capabilities to successfully deliver complex initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Global Quote-to-Cash Transformation

  • Lead business workstreams supporting Applied Materials' S/4HANA transformation, with primary responsibility for Quote-to-Cash processes.
  • Drive future-state business process design, standardization, and implementation across:
    • Customer Master Data
    • Pricing and Commercial Governance
    • Quoting Processes
    • Contract Management
    • Sales Distribution
    • Order Management
    • Billing and Invoicing
    • Revenue and Financial Process Alignment
  • Partner with business process owners and IT teams to define requirements and solution strategies.
  • Ensure successful execution of process design, testing, cutover planning, organizational readiness, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and optimize end-to-end business processes.

Lead M&A Post-Acquisition Integration

  • Develop and lead integration strategies for newly acquired businesses.
  • Drive alignment of business processes, operational controls, governance models, master data, systems, reporting structures, and organizational practices.
  • Create and manage detailed integration roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration activities spanning Finance, IT, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Legal organizations.
  • Monitor integration progress and ensure achievement of synergy and business value objectives.

Program Governance and Stakeholder Management

  • Establish program governance, decision-making frameworks, and executive reporting structures.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and executive reviews.
  • Manage program scope, timelines, budgets, resource plans, risks, and dependencies.
  • Communicate program status, issues, and recommendations to senior executives.
  • Drive timely resolution of complex business and organizational challenges.

Organizational Change Management

  • Lead stakeholder engagement and change management initiatives.
  • Develop communication, training, and adoption strategies.
  • Build alignment across global business functions and regional organizations.
  • Influence organizational decisions and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholder groups.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience leading large-scale business transformation, ERP deployment, or strategic program management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-wide, cross-functional programs in a global environment.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change and influence across multiple functions and levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Experience with Quote-to-Cash, Commercial Operations, Customer Business Operations, Sales Operations, Order Management, or Finance processes.
  • Experience leading post-merger or acquisition integrations.
  • Semiconductor, technology manufacturing, or complex global operations experience.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Prosci, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership teams on strategic business initiatives.

Functional Knowledge

  • Recognized subject matter expert in enterprise transformation and complex program management.
  • Deep understanding of Quote-to-Cash business processes and organizational interdependencies.
  • Broad knowledge of enterprise systems, operating models, and business process integration.
  • Anticipates business and operational challenges and develops proactive solutions.

Leadership

  • Leads highly visible programs with significant complexity, risk, and enterprise impact.
  • Develops execution strategies and drives alignment across multiple business functions.
  • Influences decision-making at senior leadership and executive levels.
  • Successfully navigates competing priorities and complex organizational dynamics.

  • Solves unique and complex business challenges requiring innovative and strategic thinking.
  • Balances business priorities, operational constraints, and transformation objectives.
  • Anticipates risks and develops mitigation strategies before issues affect program outcomes.

  • Directly influences the success of Applied Materials' S/4HANA transformation and M&A integration strategy.
  • Impacts business process standardization, scalability, operational efficiency, and long-term organizational effectiveness.
  • Drives programs that deliver sustainable business value and enterprise transformation outcomes.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
