We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager, Bids & Commercial to join our Engineering & Construction team. This is a pivotal role responsible for leading projects from early-stage development through to Ready to Build, providing both commercial and technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy and storage projects.
Working closely with Development, Engineering, Grid, Environment and Construction teams, this role will help shape project delivery strategies, manage project risks and costs, and support successful investment decisions and project approvals.
- Manage renewable energy and energy storage projects from development through to financial close and Ready-to-Build status.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, risk management and delivery strategies across complex development projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering and construction outcomes aligned with project objectives.
- Drive Technical Investment Memo (TIM) processes, ensuring robust project assessment, cost estimates, schedules and risk evaluations.
- Develop procurement and tendering strategies to support project readiness and investment decisions.
- Provide technical and commercial input for stakeholder engagement, bids, partnerships and contract negotiations.
- Work closely with Construction teams to ensure delivery strategies remain commercially viable and aligned with market conditions.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement to optimise project outcomes and reduce project costs.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8+ years' experience in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of engineering, construction, planning and project costing methodologies.
- Proven experience managing complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and service providers.
- Strong commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of Australian engineering standards and regulations.
- Ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams, cultures and stakeholder groups.
