Job Overview
FactEntry is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Research Analyst / Research Analyst to join the Fixed Income Data Quality team. The primary responsibility of this role is to validate and ensure the accuracy of Fixed Income data, including bond attributes, instrument terms and conditions, and lifecycle updates.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Reference Data, Corporate Actions, and New Issuance processing, along with strong domain knowledge of Fixed Income instruments and associated data attributes. The role requires reviewing financial documents such as prospectuses, offering memorandums, news, issuer filings, mail alerts, links and Feeds to validate relevant information.
The candidate will work with Quality, Operations, and Technology teams to maintain high standards of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in the FactEntry database.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive validation and quality checks on Fixed Income reference data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Validate New Issuance bond additions, ensuring all instrument attributes and bond terms are captured correctly.
  • Review and validate Fixed Income attributes and Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) including coupon structure, maturity, issue price, redemption price, day count conventions, payment frequency, and call/put schedules.
  • Validate data extracted from prospectuses, offering memorandums, and issuer documentation.
  • Conduct cross-source validation to confirm data accuracy across multiple market sources.
  • Review and validate corporate actions related to Fixed Income instruments, including coupon changes, redemptions, restructurings, and other lifecycle events.
  • Identify data discrepancies or missing attributes, perform analysis, and ensure timely resolution or escalation.
  • Work with the Quality team to maintain high data quality standards and improve validation processes.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear documentation of data sources, validation procedures, and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with technology and product teams to resolve system or data-related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to internal data governance policies and SLAs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in Fixed Income reference data operations or financial data environments.
Experience requirement:
  • Research Analyst: 1+ year relevant experience
  • Senior Research Analyst: 3+ years relevant experience
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in New Issuance bond processing
  • Experience handling Fixed Income corporate actions
  • Strong understanding of bond attributes and instrument structures
  • Experience reviewing bond prospectuses and issuer documentation
  • Exposure to data quality validation or reference data teams
Key Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Income instruments and bond markets
