The Sr. Sales Enablement Manager is responsible for leading strategy, development, and delivery of high-impact enablement content that empowers client-facing teams to drive growth, deepen relationships, and win in competitive markets. This role translates sometimes complex product capabilities into compelling, client-ready narratives and scalable enablement assets.

The role is responsible for equipping Relationship Managers, and client-facing teams with messaging, pitch decks, case studies and thought leadership tailored to specific segments.

The ideal candidate has a proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships, and collaborates effectively with sales leadership, and other executive leaders while bringing a strong blend of strategic thinking, editorial leadership, and commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Governance

 

  • Help define and execute the Commercial Bank content strategy aligned to Commercial Bank growth priorities, sales process, and client segments.
  • Curate and standardize sales materials, templates and pitchbooks. Ensure content is consistent, on-brand, complaint, and easy for Sales to deploy.
  • Establish and maintain a single source of truth for approved sales content aligned with defined content governance.
  • Partner with Marketing, Brand, Graphic designers, and other stakeholders to keep sales materials current, aligned and grounded in market priorities and service capabilities.


Sales Enablement & Field Activation
 

  • Develop scalable, field-ready content that supports growth including prospecting, discovery, proposal, and client retention.
  • Support continuous improvement by gathering user feedback, documenting pain points, resourcing best practices and recommending practical enhancements.
  • Support product launches and strategic initiatives to ensure Sales readiness.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of content through training, campaigns, and integration into workflows.
  • Help design and analyze performance reporting to measure program impact, identify trends and surface opportunities to improve program effectiveness.
  • Use AI tools to analyze data, generate enablement insights, and build program resources more efficiently.
  • Leverage generative AI and content automation tools to rapidly convert complex product updates and field insights into engaging micro-learning content.
  • Work with Sales leadership and field teams to understand where messaging is effective, where adjustments are needed and how materials can better support real selling situations.
     

Performance Measurement & Optimization
 

  • Establish key enablement metrics to measure effectiveness, such as: adoption, engagement, sales readiness as well as influenced pipeline opportunities and closed revenue).
  • Gather and analyze seller and manager feedback to identify improvement opportunities and continuously refine content for maximum usability.
  • Help drive the adoption of emerging AI capabilities that enhance seller productivity, including AI powered searches, role play, and digital learning experiences that improve seller effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience
 

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college.
  • 10+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Sales Enablement roles. Direct Sales experience is a plus.
  • Proven success in developing sales enablement strategies that improve seller performance, including building and scaling content strategies that drive measurable sales outcomes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to build trusted relationships with sellers, people leaders and senior leadership across Sales, Marketing and Product.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a faced-paced environment.
  • Strong writing, messaging, and presentation-development, skills creating persuasive materials that sales teams can use in active commercial environment.
  • Proficiency with enablement and content platforms (e.g., Seismic) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong Power point skills is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in Business or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Program management skills - In-depth.
  • Change management and leadership skills - In-depth.
  • Knowledge of process coordination and management - In-depth.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Influence skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - In-depth / Expert.
  • Able to manage ambiguity.
  • Data driven decision making - In-depth / Expert.

Salary:

$100,000.00 - $220,000.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
