Your role:
Zanders is an independent consultancy specialising in treasury, risk and technology, advising multinationals, financial institutions and public sector organisations for over thirty years. We are building our team in India, and SAP Treasury implementation is central to that. You will work on global engagements alongside colleagues in Europe and beyond — client-facing, from scoping through go-live. This is advisory and implementation work, not offshore support.
The work is SAP Treasury and Risk Management specifically. Transaction Manager across money market, loans, foreign exchange, securities and derivatives; hedge management and hedge accounting; cash and liquidity management; in-house cash, payment factory structures and bank connectivity. If those are the modules you have configured, this role is built for you. If your SAP background is general Finance rather than Treasury, it is not.
You will join a team of experienced consultants who share knowledge openly and hold each other to a high delivery standard. Alongside project work you will be involved in business development, and you will have a genuine say in how the India practice develops rather than inheriting a fixed model.
Practical details, because they matter: the role is remote within India, with travel to client sites and Zanders offices — including Europe — as projects require. We arrange and support visas for international project work. Because our clients are global, some of your working hours will overlap with European and occasionally US time zones.
Your background will be in SAP Treasury implementation, in either a consulting or corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver end-to-end SAP Treasury implementations — scoping, planning, design, configuration, testing and go-live.
Configure SAP Treasury and Risk Management across Transaction Manager (money market, loans, foreign exchange and hedge management, securities and derivatives) and cash and liquidity management.
Configure hedge management and hedge accounting — designation, effectiveness testing and the related accounting treatment.
Set up in-house cash, payment factory structures and bank connectivity, including correspondence and market data integration.
Translate client treasury requirements into SAP solutions — advising on best practice, and on where standard functionality should and should not be extended.
Take responsibility for your own workstreams, keeping scope, quality and timelines on track and raising risks early.
Work within cross-functional teams spanning technical, functional and client resources to keep delivery moving.
Keep client stakeholders updated on progress, timelines, risks and deliverables, and surface issues before they become problems.
Advise clients more broadly on their treasury technology landscape, including current practices, roadmap direction and vendor selection.
Help identify new business and project opportunities in India and internationally, and contribute to proposals, RFPs, client presentations and networking.
Stay current with SAP Treasury releases and functionality, and share what you learn with the wider team.
Contribute to building the India practice — internal initiatives, knowledge sessions, and the kind of team culture you want to work in.
Skills to be successful
Essential
Three to five years implementing and configuring SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) specifically — not general SAP Finance experience.
Hands-on configuration across Transaction Manager — money market, loans, foreign exchange including hedge management, securities and derivatives (IRS, swaps, options, futures) — and cash and liquidity management.
Working knowledge of corporate treasury processes: treasury and risk management, cash management, in-house banking, payment factories and bank connectivity.
Experience with related tools such as SWIFT, trading portals and market data providers.
Experience owning your own workstream on implementation projects, and comfort working directly with clients to resolve difficult problems.
Business-fluent English, and willingness to travel within Asia and to Europe as projects require.
Also valuable
SAP certification in Treasury and Risk Management or a related module.
Experience with SAP In-House Cash, Advanced Payment Management, Bank Communication Management or Multi-Bank Connectivity.
Exposure to Market Risk Analyzer or Credit Risk Analyzer.
Experience configuring correspondence, confirmations and market data feeds.
Experience in a consulting environment.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, engineering or a related field.
