About this role

Liquid Personnel is recruiting 2 experienced Senior Social Workers to join the Safeguarding, Assessment & Support (SAS) Team within Children's Social Care for its client. Based at the Hartlepool Civic Centre, this is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated service committed to safeguarding children and supporting families across the borough.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in undertaking assessments, managing complex cases, and providing effective interventions to ensure children are protected and supported to achieve positive outcomes. You will work within a supportive team environment, collaborating with partner agencies and contributing to high-quality social work practice.

What will your responsibilities be? 

  • Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring safeguarding and support.
  • Undertake Child and Family Assessments and develop effective care and support plans.
  • Carry out child protection investigations and statutory interventions in line with legislation and local procedures.
  • Work directly with children, young people, and families to reduce risk and improve outcomes.
  • Prepare reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, reviews, and other statutory meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, assessments, and reports.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote their welfare.

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Significant post-qualified experience within Children's Social Care.
  • Experience working within a Safeguarding, Assessment & Support or similar frontline team.
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
