Role Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who ships fast, thinks in systems, and uses AI as a force multiplier. You’ll build production-grade features across our full stack — Node.js APIs, React frontends, cloud infrastructure — while leveraging AI-assisted development (vibe coding) to deliver at 2–3x the speed of traditional workflows.
You own the feature end-to-end: from database schema to API to pixel-perfect UI to production monitoring. You’ll work on systems that serve millions of requests daily across 10,000+ business locations — reviews, presence management, AI-powered insights, and hyperlocal marketing.
If you’re the kind of engineer who uses Claude, Cursor, or Copilot as a natural part of your workflow and can turn a product brief into a deployed feature in days instead of weeks, this role is for you.
Key Expectations
- Ship features end-to-end: Own the full lifecycle — schema design, REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js, React UI, deployment, and monitoring. No handoffs.
- Build with AI, not just for AI: Use AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, v0) as daily tools to accelerate development. Write better code faster.
- Design for scale: Architect APIs and data models that handle 50K+ daily requests, multi-tenant workloads, and real-time event-driven pipelines.
- Own quality and uptime: Write tests, set up monitoring, debug production issues, and maintain 99.9%+ uptime. Zero-downtime deployments are the standard.
- Move fast with confidence: Deliver production-ready features in days, not sprints. Velocity without sacrificing code quality or system reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Work directly with product, design, and data science teams. Translate ambiguous requirements into clean technical solutions.
- Mentor and elevate: Review code, share patterns, and help junior engineers grow. Set engineering standards for the team.
Technical Requirements (What you should be strong at)
- Node.js (4+ years): Express/Hapi/Fastify, REST API design, async patterns, error handling, middleware architecture. You can build a production API from scratch.
- React (3+ years): Hooks, state management (Redux/Zustand/Context), component architecture, performance optimization, SSR/Next.js.
- Databases: MySQL/PostgreSQL (query optimization, indexing, migrations) and MongoDB/DynamoDB. You can write an EXPLAIN plan and fix a slow query.
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, EventBridge, API Gateway), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, PM2.
- AI coding tools: Active user of Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0, or similar. You use AI to scaffold, refactor, debug, and write tests.
- Vibe coding: You can take a product brief, describe the intent to an AI assistant, iterate on the output, and ship a working feature in hours.
- LLM integration: Experience calling OpenAI/Anthropic/Groq APIs from backend code. Built features using LLMs for summarization, classification, or generation.
- Git & testing: Branch strategy, PR workflows, unit tests (Jest/Vitest), integration tests. You write tests because you’ve been burned by not writing them.
- Bonus: TypeScript, event-driven architecture (Kafka/SQS), Redis, Elasticsearch, WebSocket, OpenTelemetry/APM, MCP server development, multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
What You’ll Build
- Reviews AI — Auto-response engine with ABSA sentiment classification, AI reply generation (ChatGPT/Grok/SI AI fallback), and Google posting. 50K+ reviews/day.
- Presence Management — Multi-location brand listings across Google, Facebook, Apple Maps. Real-time sync via PubSub, bulk updates, image suppression.
- AI Mode — Conversational AI interface: intent detection, knowledge-based replies, DB-querying, action execution, content publishing.
- Report Engine — Event-driven pipeline: EventBridge → Lambda → SQS → parallel processors → S3 → SES email delivery. Zero polling, zero crons.
- Notification System — Fan-out architecture: coordinator Lambda → sharded workers → per-channel SQS queues → push/email/in-app delivery at scale.
- Competitor Intelligence — Data aggregation using RapidAPI, Google Places, and custom crawlers for competitive analysis.
Qualifications and Experience
- 4–5 years of professional full-stack development with Node.js and React in production environments.
- Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design, API design patterns.
- Demonstrable experience using AI tools to accelerate development — show us your workflow, not just a resume.
- Shipped features that handle real traffic at scale (10K+ requests/minute or equivalent).
- B.Tech/B.E./MCA in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and high ownership. You don’t wait for perfect specs.
