Job Description
Responsabilities:
- Lead scoping of assigned security initiatives from directional strategy into an executable plan -- sequencing, dependencies, resourcing, and concrete milestones.
- For the initial assignment: lead scoping of a multi-workstream security infrastructure initiative, including defining transition criteria for retiring legacy systems and executing planned decommissioning once those criteria are met.
- Own ongoing coordination, scheduling, and cross-team communication across security, network engineering, end-user computing, and cloud operations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external technical partners and vendors supporting initiative delivery, managing communications and holding delivery accountable to agreed scope, timelines, and SLAs.
- Maintain real-time visibility into initiative health -- tracking milestones, budget/resourcing burn, and risk logs -- and provide executive-level status updates to the CPO Leader and key stakeholders.
- Track dependencies, risks, and open decisions; keep documentation current as initiatives evolve.
- Partner with technical leads, who remain focused on technical design and build, rather than day-to-day coordination and tracking
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience scoping an initiative from directional strategy into an executable plan -- this is not a pure execution/tracking role, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of technical project management experience, including senior or lead-level ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives, or equivalent experience.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or similar certification demonstrating mastery of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies, or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical fluency -- able to genuinely understand the engineering constructs of the initiatives they lead, even without a hands-on engineering background themselves.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to work across technical and business stakeholders without close oversight.
- Executive-ready communication skills -- comfortable presenting status and options to senior stakeholders, not just peers, and translating technical progress into clear, value-based narratives for non-technical audiences.
- High level of comfort with project management and collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and AWS.
- Pragmatic, reliable, and action-oriented working style
