Supporting the EMEA GOS Financial Controller in the successful delivery of legal entity Controllership, ensuring compliance with global policy.Job Description
Core responsibilities:
Manage the statutory audit processes, including co-ordination between the auditors, outsourced providers in India (FSC), the business and retained finance across the clusters as the key C&W contact for external Auditor
Improve processes to minimize the cost of SFS production, review and audit including optimization of system functionality and automation and ensure the best use of the FSC.
Pro-actively manage external Auditor, ensuring that all PBC deliverables are delivered on time.
Manage responses and audit queries and findings.
Support CIT (Corporation Tax) computation process that is owned by the in-house Tax department.
Support legal entity rationalization projects, providing technical accounting guidance as required.
Provide intercompany balance confirmations to support local overseas audit requirements.
Create efficiencies through continuous improvement of processes.
Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as they arise
Qualifications, Skills, knowledge & experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional working environment, with an interest in commercial real estate:
Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
Minimum two – three years of experience in relevant accounting or finance roles
Excellent communication in English
Strong technical accounting skills. IFRS Essential.
Proven project management skills to facilitate coordination of key stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and an organized, logical approach is essential.
Excellent communicator, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, a ‘key thinker’ who manages deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to complex accounting entries.
Adaptable and energetic, with ability to work as part of a team, as well as under their own initiative.
Chartered Accountant qualification is an advantage.
Workday (ERP) and Hyperion (HDM) experience is an advantage.
Experience working in a large, global company is an advantage.
