Senior Systems Manager - AVP - Infrastructure Critical Services (Database) - IT

Job Summary:

The Critical Service Engineering team is responsible for the design of IT infrastructure for HKEX application systems. We strive for the highest IT standard by evaluating new technologies, defining standards as well as continuous internal process automation and improvement.

Job Duties:

As Senior Systems Manager, you will be collaborate with our experts in Critical Service Engineering to perform system design, defining infrastructure technology roadmaps and developing comprehensive architectural plans that align with our business objectives. We play a critical role to maintain these company-wise systems that are critical to daily business operation. We also partner other IT teams to support our systems in such fast growing financial markets in Hong Kong.

 

Responsibilities

• Provide design to various infrastructure technology in Operating Systems, Linux, Windows and Cloud platform;
• Evaluation different infrastructure solutions including new technologies to provide best fit solution for various projects.
• Implement and support infrastructure solutions in sophisticated, high-performance trading environments that demand stability, high throughput and low latency;
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define system requirements.
• Provide advice for operating policies, technical architecture and configuration of infrastructure  system;
• Create detailed documentation for system architecture and design.
• Oversee the implementation of new systems and infrastructure.
• Define standard approaches and configurations for infrastructure technologies including monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, patching and upgrade, performance tuning, backup and recovery, testing, capacity planning, etc.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project and BAU teams.‍
• Review project and BAU team’s deliverables to ensure highest quality delivery and implementation

Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer science, Computer engineering, information technology or relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in IT infrastructure support and system design;
• Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
• Experience in system and network administration.
• Hands-on experience in developing script solutions for process improvement and automation would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of storage solutions and database technologies is a plus.
• Proactive, strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills.
