About the Role
We're hiring our first Senior Technical Content Writer in Chennai to turn complex product and engineering ideas into authoritative, original content for developers, engineering leaders, and enterprise technology audiences. You'll research deeply, work directly with founders, product leaders, and engineers, and create whitepapers, technical blogs, thought-leadership pieces, social content, and video scripts that make Revolte's point of view clear and credible. Marketing will set the content strategy and calendar; you will own the research, technical understanding, writing, and refinement needed to ship exceptional work without step-by-step supervision.
This is not a volume-content or generic copywriting role. We need someone who can understand the technology, form an informed point of view, and write with both technical accuracy and creative force.
What You'll Do
- Technical research & point of view: Develop informed perspectives on AI-driven SDLC, agentic software delivery, developer productivity, quality, security, and modern engineering practices; support claims with credible evidence and sources.
- Long-form technical content: Write whitepapers, research-led reports, deep-dive blogs, thought-leadership articles, executive bylines, and customer or use-case narratives for technically sophisticated audiences.
- Social content: Turn substantive ideas into concise, platform-native posts and threads for Revolte and its leaders across LinkedIn, X, Reddit, and relevant developer communities without diluting the technical value.
- Video scripting: Develop scripts and narrative structures for YouTube explainers, product and workflow videos, interviews, webinars, Shorts, and social video — including hooks, scene flow, and on-screen cues.
- Product immersion: Learn Revolte hands-on, understand its workflows and architecture, read technical specifications and documentation, and validate how the product works before writing about it.
- SME collaboration: Interview founders, engineers, product leaders, and customer-facing teams; arrive prepared, extract the real insight, challenge ambiguity, and turn expert knowledge into clear, accurate narratives.
- Occasional product documentation: Contribute to tutorials, quickstarts, release notes, developer guides, and related documentation when needed, while keeping market-facing technical content as the primary focus.
- End-to-end content execution: Take an approved brief from research and outline through drafting, sourcing, fact-checking, feedback, revision, and final copy; work with marketing to learn from performance and improve future content.
What We're Looking For
- Relevant experience: 4–8 years of total experience across technical writing, technical content, software engineering, developer marketing, or a closely related role. Your background can vary; proven technical depth and writing quality cannot.
- Portfolio required: A strong body of original work for technical audiences, including at least one substantial long-form piece. Whitepapers, technical blogs, thought leadership, social content, or video scripts are all relevant.
- Genuine technical fluency: A practical understanding of software engineering and the modern SDLC — including Git/GitHub, APIs, CI/CD, cloud, containers, testing, security, and developer workflows — with the ability to learn an agentic AI platform quickly.
- Technical comprehension: Comfort reading product specifications, architecture material, API documentation, code samples, and GitHub repositories, and using technical products to verify what you write.
- Research rigor: Strong source judgment, fact-checking discipline, and the ability to distinguish evidence from assumption, marketing language, or AI-generated filler.
- Creative editorial judgment: You can find the sharp angle, build a compelling narrative, simplify complexity without making it shallow, and adapt one idea intelligently across long-form, social, and video formats.
- Self-directed execution: You can begin contributing quickly, manage multiple workstreams, ask precise questions, and deliver publication-ready work without requiring detailed writing instruction.
- AI fluency: You use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate research and production while personally owning accuracy, originality, voice, and final quality.
- Communication & location: Excellent written and spoken English; based in Chennai or willing to relocate and work on-site.
