Senior Test Engineer

Role Overview The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure product quality and reliability. The role requires hands-on experience in Selenium, Java, Manual Testing methodologies, and test automation frameworks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement across the testing lifecycle. Requirements Key Responsibilities • Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing • Design and execute manual test cases based on business and technical requirements • Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts using Selenium and Java • Review and validate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria • Identify defects, document issues clearly, and track resolutions • Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders • Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and quality standards • Participate in sprint ceremonies and ensure timely delivery within Agile environments • Maintain test documentation, test results, and reports with complete accuracy • Mentor junior testers and support team knowledge development Technical Skills Required • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium and Selenium WebDriver • Proficiency in Java for automation scriptingThorough expertise in • Manual Testing (functional, regression, and end-to-end) • Experience with test automation frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, BDD, or similar) • Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence) • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) is an advantage • Experience with debugging tools, defect tracking systems, and test documentation • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies Professional Requirements • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and documentation abilities • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality • Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities • Proven capability to manage time effectively and deliver within deadlines Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
